Is my character even safe?

I had to drop link in hidden . When I was able to log back on I was naked with 3 pieces of meat like I had ripped but I had not. I was still inside hidden. Had no exp loss... This isn't the first time something like this happened. I came to on another char, and all my equipment has been changed. I feel like someone may be tampering with my characters. Is there a way to check and see if another IP is accessing them or am I just screwed and have to feel unsafe? Tired of this already, thanks.

I've dropped link and died to either pcs or npcs, verified offline, and logged in to same location I dropped link. Naked.

So this isn't just a "did I rip or not" worry. If I ripped and can verify, then that would answer the question of why I'd be naked But 1 no experience or tps were lost. And 2 I wasn't in the circle.

(Ok so maybe some freak bug makes you come back from ld rent still at said "rip location" after relogging. That aside. Exp/tps wouldn't change either?)

So the other reason I feel like my chars may have been compromised is another character of mine will suddenly sprout random bits of equipment. Completely unrelated to what I would wear or carry. No need to loot anything cause he's a solo level 15-16 char in a guardian kit so I'm not running around picking things up.

I'll defenitly change my xwords but something fishy is going on I'm sure of it lol.

So. Realization. I had a noloc skull on me when I dropped link. They used to just disappear if you ld rented with them. Is it possible that the script for that is in some way buggy that it would take everything instead of just the skull?

Happened to me at least 3 times when I had full sets on. It's the LD bug.

We used to have a tool that let us check if someone had died, but alas, that one died at least a decade ago. As it is, only Flash can check that and he hasn't gotten back to me yet about the time Gizmo reported this, which is the link Maegon posted.

That said, I've seen plenty of times that the game logs when someone idle/linkless rents and a no-rent item is removed from them, so I doubt your no-loc theory is correct. E.g. captain's hats are no-rent, as are some quest items. If there really was an issue with no-rent items in general, this problem would be much more pervasive.

I wonder though, were you were jcuffs? Right now, at least to me, the major thing in common with these eq disappearances seems to be top end dodge or combo set, with the wearer sporting jcuffs.
