What would make people play LS again?

So here's a great challenge of why people don't play LS. I want to point out this is the second or third time recently I've played alts that people don't know, and they've done this - basically alting eq someone in PK needs because they think they can get away with it. It's frustrating to wonder how often this happens to people without name recognition who don't have alts that don't have this problem.

To set the scene - Shinboi and I had made PK chasing Byrg camp, I died after a missed stab.

First off when I got to FD you were nowhere around be it your dead or what ever. Wept dies and i loot. we rolled for the shocker. you all of a sudden walk in after its narrated that wept died and even said that byrg probably had your gear. But i seen you was naked and said follow me i would give you gear.
Pail and axo and adael were on wept kill. I KNOW they were there and needed gear. I made the comment about alting as a smart@$$ joke but you took it to heart. you got most of a kit back and i left to go give the rest of the stuff to adael and pial. as i was giving the greaves and cbelt (spare cause you got one) to adael you stabbed me.( will be seeing about that later). Pial received the torcs which he exchanged. I kept 2 i and g rings and a spare set of boots. now I spread the gear out evenly and had it not been for us you would have not got jack back. so stop being ungreatful and whining. adael was in a worse set then the one i gave you.

All a great explanation if not for a)your words in the log b)the fact you later claimed "he got 95% of his kit back, don't know what he's whining about" showing you clearly know you'd kept parts (your maths was off by the way), c)the fact you only started to give out other pieces when I called you out and d)the fact you could have easily asked anyone else in the PK if you were so inclined e)the fact you dragged me to some random room to give me half the kit, rather than giving it to me in the room you were already in with other people in PK g)you even admit you kept some of the eq.

I'm not bothered about the eq. I could have the char running around in full kit if I wanted (and thanks for the offer of return Pial but as I noted, it's appreciated - not really about the eq as the attitude). It is frustrating this is the third time I've seen this on LS recently playing alts with no name recognition, and established, clanned players split in a way as to benefit themselves, and alts, despite the needs of others. If you want people to play LS, and continue to play it, people need to both police themselves and call out those who pull stuff like this.

First off you come in demanding like a spoiled child. Second the barrel at the wisdom is not a random room. The 95% part was off by math I admit but the his kit was in reference to your claim.

AND you were to busy acting like a kid "it's mine gimme" to see I was splitting it. I gave you all the items that noone would fight over. Then gave the rest to the others that were in the pk. I am not a gear greedy person but when you start acting entitled you fall to the bottom of my list. Pail and adael deserved something for their part. Now if they want to return the stuff fine by me. I am not a gear greedy person I would rather give to my friends.

There is a huge difference between what you explained, and someone dying making PK, immediately coming out of CoL and noting you have their entire kit in your inventory. Your choice was thinking you could ignore that and selectively return items for your own choice so you could benefit as much yourself.

I'm not going to turn this into an argument thread so I'm done here after this post. Suffice to say your actions as indicated by the log are there for all to judge. I did not demand like a spoiled child, I thanked you for giving me items, then when I spotted you had my full kit I noted such. Your actions then followed accordingly as noted in the log.

If LS wants to retain players, it needs to recognise the generally more altruistic attitude and fair splitting policy that SS and DS use, and police that accordingly, and players not think they can just ignore those people whose names they don't recognise.
