Where did our adventure take you today?
Where did our adventure take you today?
After hearing some players bemoan "there's nothing to do!" I thought to myself, "Let's make something to do." Were you part of it? Did you ride from Fal Dara with Uno to try to raid the Great Keep? Did you follow Walker and his Saldaean Cavalry up to Orchard to try to force the Shadowspawn back? Did you answer the call of Xafelar into battle? Did you follow Moghedien all the way from Great Keep to Lockshear to Tarwin's Gap to Fal Dara, protecting her so she could transport the stolen Seal and taint the ground, allowing the Blight to move forward for a little while? Were you one of the ones who made it to all west GK and then had to fall back? Did you gather in the Shallow Depression to follow the Children of the Light lead by Aira, or rally beneath the banner of Andor lead by Dorthy? Did you stay with Danelle Aes Sedai and Alanna Aes Sedai, relaying intelligence and being ready to make a last stand at the Crossing? Did you take part in the epic battle of Aes Sedai and Warders vs Trollocs in the northern Blight, one of the bloodiest battles of the entire adventure? And did you see the epic escape from inside Fal Dara, right out the Malkier Gate? Did you follow Norberto as he continued to rise again, even when others would have stayed down?
~~~~~WERE YOU ONE OF THE 34 IN PK AT ONE POINT?~~~~~
I know there were some rough patches, some interesting spins, and a lot of "which way are they going" but I think there was high energy and a lot of fun for those who participated. Thanks for staying in character, with rallying cries and roleplay. Thanks for not complaining when you were disarmed *AGAIN* by a warder. Thanks for coming right out of Circle and gearing up again to throw yourself back into the fray. Thanks for the good sportsmanship.
Re: Where did our adventure take you today?
I got kinda pissed off toward the end when the humans were sitting ragan for like 20 mins but otherwise thoroughly enjoyed it. This is where you force load a triple bladed for me right?!
Re: Where did our adventure take you today?
Only joined at the very end when things were more or less being mopped up by ds. I contributed absolutely nothing to the grand scheme of things but still had a pretty good time (I did yoink some of the loot at Ragan, sorry naked ds absers).
I think the numbers were off but that's about it. Viv did her best to even it out with mobs but moghedien neatly piled the corpses in her tracks (as she should, being forsaken and all) so I guess you could say that Viv was... outmatched by her own creations?!?
.
Good times.
I don't want to start anything here, but did you, at any point, type "where"?Rig wrote:I got kinda pissed off toward the end when the humans were sitting ragan for like 20 mins but otherwise thoroughly enjoyed it. This is where you force load a triple bladed for me right?!
Re: Where did our adventure take you today?
Yes, a lot of us left and I am sure you didn't know that
, so not blaming you. Shoulda been more clear as to what I meant.
Re: Where did our adventure take you today?
It was a good time. I didnt die so happy with that..
Was running in pk for a while at first but once I noticed our Lady was gone set forth to guard her back against a blade.. I was sadly to slow to save my weapons a few times with them warders being the disarming folks that they are and whatnot..
From my side of battle it seemed a little bit of fun was had by all who joined.. Thanks!
Re: Where did our adventure take you today?
I came in for only the last 50 minutes, but it was fun! Was crit three separate times, really shocked that I was in a pk and didn't die! I also learned I can apparently spam to ragan better while beat/blind/poisoned by Moghedian (sp?) than I can while healthy and not blind....
Re: Where did our adventure take you today?
We didn't really know what was going on most of the time, but perhaps that's the most realistic aspect of actual battle.
This was definitely out of the ordinary and I had a great time overall. Lost a few mobs, died a few times. Seeing Uno fighting up north was cool. Him interacting/following was way cool. Getting to grumble about our Aes Sedai backup being late and then hurricaning us was kind of fun too...it made me feel like a real grizzled borderlander.
Thanks for the adventure
Re: Where did our adventure take you today?
I'm so jealous I didn't get to take part. Sounds like it was a grand ole time!! Would have loved to unify the light against the dark! Hopefully there will be more lil events like this that sprout up. This seems like an easy enough situation to replicate? With different RP reasonings and locations. (Stedding/SH/dark fort/West blight)
imms could control and move patties at the behest of the leading generals on both sides. PattyvsPatty plus 10v10 could be so much fun!! And a goal could be set, like LS taking SH or DS taking Maradon! Special rewards culd be givin like a gift from Tenobia or Lord Jaeroz for defending the homeland!(a unique not in game ATM or a rare). Could even announce the prize beforehand to get players revved up to join in) Could just have LS/DS patties dropped in certain spots and then imm wouldn't have to watch, just set the 'win conditions' and leave the defense of the patties.cities in the hands of the players!! So many options!! Can't wait for the next party! Hopefully I get to join in!! =D
Re: Where did our adventure take you today?
Decided to log onto Aira, although usually with quests that just means running around ungrouped or not being able to participate at all. I could join in on this one, was grouped for a bit and when I noticed I had accidentally ended up in a group with Darlana I got to lead a CoL patty. Unfortunately 4 CoL mobs and us 6ish humans were no match for a channeling mob, dreadlord, 2 fades and 6ish trollocs.
I couldn't really say it on narrates yesterday, but at least towards the end we needed channies there, or numbers in general. Also, thank goodness Wept rented/left. Turns out Walker had missed the narrate that Moghedien was in Lockshear, although I don't think that changed much, given our lack of firepower...
Also, eep to this where:
