Unique Policy
Re: Unique Policy
4 is a good number. Is that the total at all times?
Here’s a set of random questions I have:
Will the 4 that are loading into game change based on turn in/decay? I’m assuming that the 4 will consist of either lamans/ksword/hatchet/hearthstone/partisan/voulge(although this is worse than dst, pls do not load this). Maybe a couple others I’m missing. Anyway, so for example, let’s say it’s lamans/ksword/hatchet/heartstone. Ksword decays, and gets turned in/breaks. Will the idea be to just reload ksword specifically or would it possibly change to jade partisan/voulge/whatever?
Will the loads be somewhat balanced against groups/abuse that make the spirit of the load pointless to anyone else? I don’t even want to bother contending against warder groups/mass amounts of troll thieves in shitty zones.

Re: Unique Policy
Another option is also to flag uniques no-rent and destroyed on rent/reboots like some keys and items in game.
Imms can then load all sorts of fun things that aren't going to have long term impacts.

Re: Unique Policy
Never been a fan of no-rent uniques myself.
Re: Unique Policy
To many people proposing such complicated rules. I think the proposed rules are simple and straightforward.
The least complicated the rules are, the better.
Lets go!

Re: Unique Policy
you should be rewarded for doing cool stuff while using a unique! I concur! it's unique!
Re: Unique Policy
Nah, Weir's got the right of it. No rents are awful.
Re: Unique Policy
Yeah, we tried the no-rent thing for a while. It ended up devaluing uniques to the point that no one really wanted them.
Re: Unique Policy
wasn't there also some abuse if you logged on <15 min after reboot it didn't actually eat the unique, so you got to keep it without going through the hoops of getting it? dimly seem to recall someone carrying heartstone spear through reboots.
Re: Unique Policy
Yeah, it's a general thing with noquit items - if you log on within the first ~30 min after boot, you keep them.
