CTF Changes

Post by Mhaliah » Tue Feb 08, 2022 4:50 pm

Specifically...

3) LS players turning in LS chunks will result in a warrant from the organization that held the city.

So can we get that peaceful transition? Or some way that DSworn and CoL can clear Baerlon from DS or SS and have it swap to generic stalwart guard of Baerlon instead of clan specific ones?

I have spoken with DSworn council and have made it clear that we would only remove DSworn from city by force if they were allowing darkfriends to continue to roam the city, and the governor refused to step aside when requested.

While Hasp's actions the other day complicates matters, the same requirements are in place for QG attempting to replace CoL control.

This creates a situation where players, who can flip to their specific clan, cannot scalp the governor unless they want to create divisions between LS clans. Which puts them in a RP situation that is counterintuitive. Either they weaken LS by creating division between those clans, or strengthen SS/DS by allowing support mobs to remain. A player should not be forced into this situation by mechanics. There are CoL and DSworn who are not warmongers, they shouldn't be forced into it.

What else would you call taking a force of men into a city, killing the guards, killing the governor, putting the governor's head on a pike outside of the city hall, and then installing a military occupation of your own forces to patrol the city (collect taxes) and administer the city (your own governor), if not an act of war against said organization?

From an RP standpoint, it makes no sense for "friendly" LS clans to murder each other guards and city administration and then annex the place and install their own command over the city. That is a blatant act of war.

Or more likely - Baerlon was SS or DS and someone from *oL or DSworn flipped it back to LS.

The ctf patrols scattered across the map should also warrant.

Maybe having Children and Dsworn be able to "flip" is a bad idea and have only one faction per "side" (SS, LS, and DS) per ctf city?
