I really think this needs to go. I just don't see the point of dice roll damage output that can be super high. There's already tons of high ob tracking mobs, fast aggro mobs, etc.

One of the most annoying things is chasing someone inside FD, having LS swarm (which is perfectly fine and a reasonable response), start fighting 1 on 5 in FD, get beat, then die randomly to arrows/oil.

I just don't see the needs for keeping it. It's also a mob RIP >:-(

The mobol arrows are but the oil is an emote rip, right? The oil is a hard-coded part of the city code I think and difficult to modify.

That said, I have never liked the hard coded gate defenses on any city, particularly in weird rooms.

Pretty sure all the arrows/oil inside fd are mobrips and are all hard-coded. Ie, extremely unlikely to change. I think most/all of us agree they're awful.

Are they hard coded to the rooms themselves? If this was something that wanted to be changed could the rooms just be replaced and remade?

Ya... what Rayven said. Can we not just create a new room and change the adjacent rooms to point to that rather than the hard coded room?

Not actual sure it's possible btw. They may have already discussed that as a possibility at some point in the past.

I wonder if there is possibly some sort of 'gate defenses' flag that can be toggled on and off in a room, as it is not tied to there being an actual gate in the room or anything (for example, Caemlyn junkyard has gate defense emotes). Honestly with the way they are with our current population, and the unlikelihood of any coding change to them, I think just turning them off completely would be the way to go if it was easily achievable in that way.
