Twitter updates/changes

So, the Twitter thing. Great idea, but needs to be rapidly adjusted to cover only PK kills! Or if at all possible, only PK kills and perhaps smobs?

First nobody cares that much about people killing snakes. It's cool to show activity, but doesn't engage that much with what people are interested in seeing.

Second, and this is by far the most important... it's currently spammy as hell. As it stands people are more likely to unfollow the twitter account beacuse of it cluttering their feed. There are all sorts of guidelines on the amount of tweeting etc.. you should do, but ultimately if you're tweeting every hour or more that's way too much.

In conclusion: Awesome idea, thanks whoever came up with it, and Flash for coding it. But... needs to be tweaked a bit!

If it's spammy, could just change it to high tps kills.

It currently tweets a % of mob kills over a certain level. The "problem" is that certain DS exp mobs overlap smobs' levels.

Work in progress, I suppose. Maybe the % needs to be lowered.

Never twatted er twittered. To many social network sites confuse me.
It is a nice idea, maybe make it on twitch? Not that I know much of that either.

I think that you guys need to make a new chit we can turn in for control of the Mud's twitter account for a day. I'm sure there would be a spike of player activity!

Flash has lowered it to a max of one tweet hourly if conditions are triggered. We were set at a max of four, at least 15 minutes apart. Some people liked the frequency and the building anticipation and excitement. Others thought it was too much. We'll see how this timing goes.
