The qp and player TIME/skill expectation is really really arbitrary. Ideally, there would be some sense of "this much player time/effort/skill" approximately corresponds to "these many qps that presumably result in a commensurate perk". But here's an approximate estimate -

1k gold = 1 qp [This is at least a 1.5 hour time sink by normal means (provided shops have cash etc); other means involves something like - cash in a craftable, which if it has even 1 trink in it is already 5 qps worth at least]
1 qp = 10 pine trees (which now corresponds to something like 3 minutes for 2 xp scalps)
15 qps = one R8 abs weapon that is worse than craftables [not used at all]
50 tps = 1 qp
7/8 qps = angreal (who uses this???)
5 qps = 1 sid/gchain that no abser would issue (and you can't use for vials/coin/crafting a weapon), and would technically be 10 qps for a viable kit for a combo/dodger (people tend to opt for going for master than use this as a perk, since master is a far more consistent and 'free' bonus once you get it)
1 "RP" letter that could be 100% inconsistent with WoT world = 1-2 qps (3-5 minutes)
3 smobs (herald chain) = 3 qps (arbitrary, but could easily be 45 mins to an hour even with efficient group movement)
20 minutes of running a mobol (library) = 3 qps (that do not contribute to R5 onwards char progress)
4-5 ooc tells or IC emotes that take 1-2 minutes (treaties RP) = 1-2 RP qps (that DO contribute to char progression)
dress/ring (no char progression based on this) = -3 qps
10 qps = R8 abs plate (that is useless!!! lol)
4-5 hours of a research task for an Ajah = 3 qps (that do not contribute to R5 onwards char progress)
2-3 hours of pk = 0 qps/reward if v few people died or someone else kept scalps etc, else 7 qps

It is all so random that if tomorrow there was a rule that you log on and pay 5 qps on a R7 to get zone sense for that session or 10 qps to get master damage, it would probbaly not sound unreasonable at all. The issuable stuff is supposed to be a perk but a lot of it is not even useful for most setups, and almost always it is better to save it for a proper bonus like zone sense/master damage etc, than use it for expensive (in terms of qps) trinks. (Not even going into how combo is way more survivable than abs, but the trink/cape stuff completely ignores that.)

In contrast, the qps for roleplay (for which there is no common consensus) is just.. so arbitrary. A random clan member just write or emote or say something supposedly "IC' but that completely ignores other player participation or consistency with WoT or even in-game facts, and still get qps.

And then you have people just blatantly ignoring everything that is fun or consistent or reasonable just to get some qps - yesterday some player told me he was pushing some agenda just to get 40 qps worth of items and he obviously had zero interest in the actual process of it including any player interaction. I remember ages ago there was a player from that same clan and he used to log on, walk around the city, then go patrol outside the city, check all the patrol points and so on, check that everything was safe and okay. If there was pk he would fight, but more often than not, he was literally RPing out his guard duties. That's not something he ever got qps for. Yet it had so much more game immersion and clan identity.
