Inkies need to be mended once in a while because they degrade due to light (and they take a whole long time to mend normally.. 15+ tics not an exception).

If you wait until it visibly shows, I'd say 15+ tics is the low end of time needed.

That could lead to another service announcement.
I asked Elysia to take sheath away from inkies (I'm sick of dropping them and then noticing they have nice swords in them) and she didn't so this is clearly her fault
I would expect a reimbursement to be waiting for under the Christmas tree in a few weeks.
