I don't remember the last time you had something positive to say, Lea..
Stalker! I have no opinions on gem mining beyond we should make gem mining as enjoyable as possible so the people I want to buy gems from have them.

it's very balanced at the moment and as enjoyable as you can make it without it becoming rediculous and an overpowered means of producing large sums of money. <-- frequent miner

It is terribad. It doesn't promote team play, and waste hours and hours of RL time. Buckets are 20 lbs each, so you need to bring extra packs/mobs to carry all the dung to the washing station. washing takes FOREVER, and it is not even guaranteed. You fail so much, and you can't even spam wash them anymore. If you do get some raw gems from this hellish process, you must factor in that its only about 1/10 chance of getting a large sparkling vs small sparkling gem. I can't see anyone doing this for money. People do this for the large sparkling, and the cash is just a shitty consolation prize/participation ribbon.

Suggestion: Figure it out bud...this is the worst thing ever. Load large sparkling gems in chests/smob chains or something that promotes team play.

I use wagons, can lead 2 horses and ride one so you can have a pack train of 3. Each wagon holds 300lbs, so you can run 45 buckets that way across the map...

Saddlebag only holds 1 bucket, but the newer wicker panniers can hold 3 buckets as well.

So all total a single non-master can transport 54 on horse/wagon and like 6 on person....

So all someone needs to do is wait until you did all the work and then jump you with your 54 buckets?

So what about all this makes it a fun way to spend your time?

Is it like solo stabbing where you feel like it's an adventure etc?

Mining makes no sense for a trolloc, there needs to be an alternative for DS. I kill people, I dont dig in the ground for stones. Reward me for killing people.

Sure, that is slightly ridiculous. I only have done that once I already had filled a bunch of rents to go around and collect them to wash. It is easier to just have one wagon during the digging.

No, its not fun. It takes hours and hours that I would never be able to spend if I was working right now...
