I think we should honestly consider changing reboot time to sometime between 3 am and 6 am EST for community health's sake.
Most of the playerbase is American and the highest population times are based on that. Usually by midnight EST when the mud reboots, there's still plenty of people online playing, pking, smobbing, etc. Most players are oldbies who typically don't go to bed til 1 or 2 and a lot of west coasters are still wide awake at 9 PM over there.
Then the reboot happens and typically kills activity utterly, most people not returning after. This artificial break tends to needlessly kill the playerbase at a time that still has a lot of activity that would have otherwise kept going.
I think it's just best to move the reboot time so it doesn't needlessly break activity that would otherwise continue on.
Reboot Time
Re: Reboot Time
People just need to recognize that all but like 1 boot per week take less than 5 minutes for the game to come back up, and not log off because of years old habit of the mud being down for nearly two hours each boot.
The reboot is timed like it is because of convenience for Flash, et al, and I'm not sure how likely it is to change.

Re: Reboot Time
I'm just happy it doesnt boot between 9pm-11pm Aus East time anymore. Least i get a few hours extra play now!!!!
Re: Reboot Time
Before it got moved to this time, it was at 1 am my time. Really didn't mind that. People hopped back on after the 5 mins the boot took and we went right back at it.
Re: Reboot Time
What Weir said. People are still thinking it's 30m to 2hrs for boot, only Sunday is 30m-ish I think now (I'm no longer awake at boots mostly) the rest are 5m, get a drink, go toilet or write a post on how x is op/y is lame/z needs upping and boom it's back
