Serves me right. But dodge definitely needs to be fixed a bit. 135+ dB is nothing anymore.

Shinobi recently described dodge to me as "a sickness". I approve of this description.

But dodge is still well-balanced imo - its the setup of extremes.

Apparently I am unable to bash dodge berserk with 19 str and a gsword! But when I play it I am bashed relentlessly..strange

I don't think I'm a fair representation, Raemon. You did sit me a couple - 2 out of 8 to be exact. You even got a couple frags in there that second time!

dodge is fine as long as you remember that you are a glass cannon. You need to remember what you can handle, and what not. You can dodge most, however you cant go toe to toe with a big basher. Buffing whole groups is (luckily) no longer an option (anyone remember Wuken buffing whole groups alone??) and if you still think you should be able to do that, you are still playing in 2004 (Which I wouldnt mind.. sweet group fade and attack on blades!)

The same goes for absers so to speak: you can bash the snot out of a dodger, but most comboers will outdamage you as well. Know what you are, and know who you can take on.

Glass cannon sounds fine, until you realize that jaggeds in the hands of a non master can sit 140+ db now regularly and they're everywhere atm.

Back that up with some testing.

I know my bash moderately well.. and this kind of statements always irk me.

Runnin around in a 142 db kit and getting sat all but once by Grabel, who is a non-master with a jagged

n = 1 evidence.

I am a big basher, and I have never had that kind of results consistently.

These kinds of claims are just out of whack, they consist of one experience, which is magnified and extrapolated to all other situations

Even if he managed this amazing feat: was it one vs one?? If so, even if he bashed you as many times.. how many times did he actually hit you then bashed and unbashed??

Wasn't talking about you specifically Sorana, I was using a csword against you . But I have had a few run ins with people wearing dodge in a 1v1 where I constantly miss bashes then land maybe one or two the whole time whilst getting tickled to death. It may be user error, but I am done with lblades for now, and I am going to use axes, a real mans weapon.
