Short Blades
Short Blades
Short Blades. I know we mixed them up a while back but, it just feel so bland.
I wish the jade would go back to being a heavy melee damage weapon and maybe not even stab. Would be interesting. Anyone have any cool ideas for short blades? I wish we had some more variety.

Re: Short Blades
problem is that sblades are so low weight that it doesn't hurt to carry multiple. So you get the best of both worlds if you make a jade dagger that is high ob/dmg but no stab, since people will just carry whatever is the best stabbing weapon and a jade dagger for melee, same as we did when CC had obscene parry and jade had incredible OB. Fair few of us just played sblades melee with no stab and swapped between cc and jade.
If you wanted to do something like that the jade dagger would need weight upped by a lot, and by then it ceases being an sblade and is just a mblade with attack.

Re: Short Blades
Yeah I'm on board with that. Would be interesting to try it.
Re: Short Blades
No to a new reason for BG masters to go back to sblades melee bash

Re: Short Blades
There's been some crazy BG setups aided by the ever questionable BG rank 6 damage bonus.
That said, Stark's review of the bash code seems to suggest weapons under 10 lbs really have very minimal bash. Seems like it caps at 20%.
I'm pretty glad that short blades got semi-smacked at the last weapon revision. Prior to the last revision CC was unbelievable.
Want a weird weapon - there's a 1 handed spear that has 5d5 damage and pierces. That's the same damage as the rare silver sai. It sells in stores for like 2 gold and hits harder than an emerald foil.

Re: Short Blades
I miss stacking BG + Master damage.
