Donna meant the world to me. She had become my best friend and a reason for me to play. She made my Gaidin character my favorite character to play, and not just for some extra code. I have tons of fond memories, spanning multiple characters. We found ourselves playing together, regardless of alts (which seemed to get us into trouble more often than not). One set of alts even married. She was a kind person, with out greed. She would give everything she had away to anyone that needed. While we had ups and downs, as most friends do, she was fun, charismatic and a beacon of life.

I'm truly heart broken at this news... but looking back through the old logs of us doing stupid stuff, I wanted to share those with everyone...and hope everyone could share some as well. She played tons of different characters, but to name only a few:

Back story: Aishling RPd the extremely jealous type. She was very possessive of her warder (me) and very defensive. She was particularly jealous of another Aes Sedai, that I made a point in flirting with (a mutual friend), Leria Sedai.

On the FC Tower Troll alt, I finally made Accepted. Donna still had no idea that I was that alt. She had continued to vent her frustrations about that alt to both me and my IRL brother. I decided it was time to troll her again.

I got to know her on and off over the years, but it was around the time I came back last summer that I really got to know her and she was just one of the greatest people to hang around. Always loving, always supportive. I am deeply saddened by her passing, but will always cherish the time we had.

I will miss her. She was wonderful to share the world of wotmud with and loved to share it with others. Though she had many alts, I will remember her as the Aes Sedai (Caelo) that brought Katherine to be tested for the shawl. I will also remember her for allowing me to tag along on her master quest even after Katherine was severed from the source. She was there with me at the start of the journey and was there at the end (or so I thought). I am certain she did countless little things on alts I will never know and who made being an Aes Sedai focused on role playing more lively and colorful. I remember her for being a friend, funny and interesting, with a shared, keen interest in the wheel of time universe.

* Katherine carefully wraps white ribbons around her arms, and through a silver loop in her hair. The traditional color of mourning for Aes Sedai, she wonders why white is also the color of rebirth, of hope. Looking down at a collection of notes and old keepsakes, Katherine absently turns her serpent ring on the third finger of her right hand, lost in memories and, she realizes, some regret. After a long moment, she turns, pauses at the window of her apartments looking out over Tower Square, then gathers herself and walks towards the door to the main hall joining others wearing shawls of their Ajahs and ribbons of white as they walk toward a the grand staircase and then towards a bier in a moonlit, woody secluded part of the grounds--to say goodbye to an old friend. *

Well shoot. I had known Donna long ago, but we started talking more the last year. She was always fun and a goofball. It will be a lonelier world without her.

I remember when I first started talking to Donna. She would always make fun of my southern accent. When she found out my wife and I had a miscarriage, she was the first to message me. When she knew I wanted to try for Wisdom, she was the first to help me improve my rp.

I really haven’t played much since she had left. Maybe cause she was the one person I always talked to. Before I could pay attention when logging in I’d have a tell, telling me to die.

She was one of the nicest, genuinely good people I met. It will be much more sad without her. Had just checked on her a few days ago. An amazing person has left us.
