Tradition is hard to break and the FOFY monster has been well fed over the decades... also, It might not be just as easy as typing show all weapon stats and copy/paste I do not know as I am not an immortal.
I do volunteer my services to update the Wiki and forward the information to Thuvia to update the EQ trainer if weapon and equipment stats are made available.

Someone get Nass on the phone and get him to update that list, decade out of date. Slacker!
Edit- on a serious note, to get a real statistical analysis for this type of feedback it would make the task less daunting if the the base stats of weapons were common knowledge. It would be one less variable that testers would have to account for which could cut the amount of testing required by quite a bit.

Csword weight dropped by .5 (18.5 to 18)
Mallet weight dropped by .5 (17.5 to 17)
Steel Warhammer (rare) damage upped and weighted changed from 14.5 to 15.5. (Very comparable to wicked axe now overall)
Darkened Steel Trident +2ob and +6pb
Strongly encourage people to try halberds and T axe, rather than rubbish them without giving them a fair go. They are the equals of csword and mallet.

I've been using T-axe for the last few weeks, I can say it's still less than stellar. Bash is very inconsistent, questionable ob means lots of parried hits (both standing and bashed) from mobs though damage sees OK when I finally hit something.
99% axes/bash and h&h

Tried halberd yesterday..h/h 19 str. Was only one or two ok sessions but I was missing a Lot of bashes vs other absers.
Completely anecdotal of course.
The one plus point was that I did land two bashes on a high def player so that was some reward.
But am going to switch to clubs. I was v thrilled about halberds because would love to practice in this class but I must have more consistent bash :/

Clubs on a master is doing pretty well. Feel like I still miss plenty of bashes, but I land a fair number of bashed hits, which is an improvement from the last time I went clubs

This should help people see the full picture now, full weapon stats are available:
viewtopic.php?f=76&t=7240
Those stats should help you make decisions and maybe try things you have overlooked. When it comes to bash, I'd urge people who feel inclined to spend some time testing and get solid data on landing %'s of different weapons over a reasonable data set. I'll happily look at reliable data with a view to minor adjustments and discuss with other members of staff should it be glaringly obvious that they are necessary, and in fact would be very appreciative of such efforts in regards to testing. Just keep in mind that staff try to see a big picture view, and our idea of correct bash % may vary from yours

1. Thanks for posting the stats.
2. Is there a non-aesthetic difference between "damage types" that we should be taking into consideration? Piercing weapons have attack, obviously, but is there a difference between a sword that smites and a sword that slashes?

Just to add on to the last question. Is any weapon that pierces able to use the attack bonus, or just short blades. For instance, would a short steel spear be able to get in two attacks in one turn?
