The Day was a joyous one as the crowd celebrated the death of the darkfriend Arkan.
The wave of celebration died down as another name was added to the list of accused.
Someone shouted, " Weir is a Darkfriend and must hang!""
Shortly after many voices joined. " Hang the Darkfriend!!"
When Weir's doom seemed all but assured; some started to change their minds.
Still others continued to call for Weir to hang.
It all came down to one voice.

The apparent deadlock was broken when a bird fluttered down with a note from the mayor. The mayor has chosen to LYNCH WEIR thus bringing the new total to -

As the crowd surges forward to bring Weir to the gallows a large beast rushes in.
In a guttural shout of rage the beast sends the crowd fleeing for cover.
Weir looks over the crowd in disgust.
"This Land will forever fall to the shadow, and any who oppose will be struck down!"
A quick wave of the hand and a hole to another place appears in front of Weir.
Stepping through without a glance back, Weir has disappeared.
Weir was voted to be Lynched on Day 3, however Weir was raised to the Darkfriend highest when Arkan fell. Until his half-trolloc protector is identified and removed Weir cannot be Lynched.
Day 3 has ended.
Night 4 ends on 12/3/2016 at 11:59 pm.

Xoco's face pales. 'So it was true..' Xoco whispers, the others crowded around in terror. 'Then there's nothing we can do to stop the Darkfriends.. and if they find Astolfo tonight and murder him, there'll be nothing left to stop the Shadow.. When we most need a leader, we have no one!'

The mug of ale shook in Joolis' hands as he brought it to his lips. There was an eerie silence in the tavern, especially compared to the chorus of shouts earlier in the day. He felt a light touch on his shoulder and whipped his head around with a wild look in his eyes. But there was nothing there.
"Oh Light, I'm not even sure I will be able to sleep tonight!"
He downed the rest of his ale and retreated up the steps to his room, turning the locks and shoving the lone dresser in the room against the door.

Aira watched the result of the lynch unfold with horror. Knowing there were darkfriends was one thing, knowing they were in some way untouchable was quite another.

After the days events, Brocas returns to the familiar and comfortable inn room. "I can't believe what transpired today! Just as a Dark Friend was about to be lynched, a half beast comes and saves him! Definitely need to stay safe tonight." Brocas bolts the door closed and finds safety within Xoco's arms.

Sometime during the night the entire town shakes and the sky is filled with lightning.
A woman stands in the center of it all crying for her beloved.
In a dark alley far away from the town center another body is found.
Xoco the Gaidin Protector has been found torn limb from limb.
Tolveor the Darkfriend Assassin was found shot with an arrow and stabbed to death.
As the town comes together to examine the bodies something strange happens; two of the townsfolk begin swelling like balloons.
Eventually they explode with the sound of a trumpet and confetti flies everywhere.
Orino the Vanilla townie has exploded like a balloon.
Malika the Town Patrolman has exploded like a balloon.
Night 4 has ended.

The events immediately following the attempted lynch of Weir the Dreadlord are terrible, to be sure, but do not lose hope. The Dark One's followers have played into our hands, and the Shadow will soon be eliminated from Maredo. Astolfo, as long as he is living, is the public face of our efforts, but if he shall fall in the course of duty, another will take his place. Our leader wields a heron mark blade, and the Wheel turns in our favor. The Light shines brightly in Maredo, and with this next dawn the final Darkfriends will be revealed. Death will surely visit the town again before victory is secured, but hold fast. Do not let your courage fail you.

The woman pushes away her tears and stands up from the dismembered body of Xoco, holding his heron mark blade in one hand and a small package taken from his person in the other. She speaks in a loud, clear voice, for all to hear, and a hush takes over the crowd.
'Citizens of Maredo. I am Brocas, Aes Sedai of the Blue Ajah. I was sent to your good town to investigate reports of Darkfriend activity. Xoco was my Warder and strategist. He died lied last night defending me against Weir of the Black Ajah, Rig the half-trolloc, and a male channeler. You have all read the Mayor's message. It is true that he was a blademaster and the mastermind behind the efforts of the Light in Maredo.'
A fearful murmur spreads throughout the listeners.
'But his death does not end these efforts! He knew that last night either he or Astolfo would be murdered, and he made plans for both eventualities. To all those who had instructions to be carried out at the time of his death, I tell you, you must carry them out just as he ordered. I will read to you now a letter from Xoco, written yesterday and given to me to be made public should he not survive the night.'
Brocas rests the heron mark blade on the ground and unwraps the package in her hands to reveal a small amulet and three pieces of parchment. She reads from the parchment, her voice heavy with emotion.
'The Darkfriend presence in Maredo will soon be no more. From the very first Night, when I discovered that Arkan was a Darkfriend, I spent all my efforts in completing the task I was sent here with Brocas Sedai to complete. I immediately contacted the Mayor and began planning the schemes that now have reached fruition. On the second Night, I learned that Weir was Black Ajah, and the following Night, I determined that I had spies in my employ. I do not know who these spies are, but if I am murdered, then the spy must be either Rig or Joolis.
'You may find it strange that I voted NO LYNCH against Weir when I knew from my own investigations that she was Black Ajah, but such are the methods that must be used to root out the Shadow. I knew that the only way to reveal the Darkfriends in time to save the life of my Aes Sedai from this spy was to draw them out. I instructed each of my contacts how to vote, in order to make the tally even. By voting NO LYNCH myself and making them believe that they could save Weir with one final NO LYNCH vote, not knowing that I had the support of the Mayor, I have drawn Tolveor out. Tolveor will die a Darkfriend, and after tonight the rest of the Darkfriends will be revealed by their actions and the actions of my followers.
The strongest remaining Darkfriend suspects are Tolveor, Pial, Rig, and Callesa. One of them is half-trolloc, and one of them is a male channeler. With my death, all my investgations are revealed for the benefit of the town. Act bravely and quickly, and victory will soon belong to the Light.'

I do not know the identity of this male channeler without doubt, but Pial voted NO LYNCH for both Arkan and Weir, and is the strongest candidate, followed by Callesa, who voted NO LYNCH for Arkan. Immediate action should be taken today against those first three, and Callesa must be watched closely. I will spend the remainder of the day in mourning, and trust the town to take matters into its own hands.'
