I generally see narrates/chats that straddle or cross the line from being IC to thinly veiled attacks on the player to be bullying. This game requires certain level of thick skin to play (what with the learning curve and no-safe-space thing!). That being said, there have been instances that I have witness/been a part of where a person is obviously acting in a manner that is beyond RP or IC, but clearly is meant to be rude and insulting.

Seen to much of that lately and in such an inarticulate way it hurts my brain more! Although the ignore command works like a god send.

But what happens when a person starts attacking across alts ignoring rp and character separation. Then they start playing the victim when others retaliate. Or the person uses their position in clans on different sides to deny people entrance . Due to them being the only active one to clan people.

There are many types of bullying and bullying is against houseguest rules if I remember correctly. Ignore command does not stop blacklisting or attacking . And not everyone can log the accounts and turn it in. It seems like we see more and more ignore it and it will go away mentality. What new person wants to come into this kind of environment.

Now we have the people with sharp tongues that will joke on this thread and that's fine . But when a person takes it upon themselves to ruin the fun of others all the time someone needs to do something . Life is to full of drama to have it in the place others come to relax.

Another agreement, the ignore command does work wonders for a peace of mind. I do realise that the offending party can skirt around the issue at hand and use other means of bullying. When it comes down to it, why do people bully?
They feel inadequate
Maybe lonely
Ignored
misunderstood
or the abusive circle continues, the victim becomes the abuser.
personal matters which seep into work//play/friendships
they don't realise they are doing it.

So yes, there are many reasons. None should be excused, some can be worked with and then others just need action. Direct action.

Agreed, I think Firimei should be punished for abusing people in the America thread who disagree with her politics. That type of stuff should never be acceptable!
