Sorry I should explain a bit more. I'm fairly new as in I just started to watch anime maybe 6 to 8 months ago. So my knowledge is pretty slim and what I like is pretty pointed. I admittedly wish I had stopped dismissing it earlier on though as I've come to really enjoy some of them. Like the mud its become one of my strange guilty pleasures haha

I have watched SAO. I loved the first part of the first season. The second was disappointing. And I didn't really get into SAO2, though I did watch it. I think it missed the mark on the magic that SAO 1 had. I wish they had done more with it and gone into more of the story/world of SAO1. Would have been fun to watch.

Soul Eater is what I'm watching now, on Netflix. I'm enjoying it quite a lot. It's hilarious. FOOL!

*Edit* I forgot to mention Knights of Sidonia and Ajin. Both are Netflix originals and were very good imo.

My boyfriend adores anime, I do like it. I think just got put off some manga by awful attempts at it.
I love studio ghibli , adore those films.

I drew my BF L from Deathnote in chibi style , chibi style of drawing is great.

I've been dipping my toe back into anime too. My old favorites were: Fist of the Northstar, Ninja Scroll and Ghost in the Shell.

I have a list of great anime I've enjoyed, starting with Haikyuu! That one's a sports anime, which I didn't think I'd enjoy, but it's really awesome. The other one that just blew me away was Your Lie In April. Highly recommend.

Others include Stein's Gate, Toradora, Berserk, Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood (soo good!), Hunter X Hunter, Duradura, Attack on Titan, Re:Zero.

Currently I'm in the middle of Code Gaeas: Lelouch of the Rebellion.

5 cm/s :)

but yeah, if you want to watch something similiar to SAO, but with a much slower pace but great animation/atmosphere watch Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash. Unfortunately only one season available though.
