This is a cool idea. We already have something along the lines of purchasing better gear / stats for patrols via the treasury funds, right? Seems like a logical extension.

would personally prefer a more passive bonus so as to not wreck pk balance..things that make the game less tedious / generate more info than add damage/break def more. For instance:

- stables in Lockshear
- more horseeq in Fd and LS (this was upped and so good)
- cure fears in herbalist FD
- Malk chain loading something more interesting than a kcuff and bloodstock :p
- spies that can report stuff from Rk/Tkd to anyone idling in FD
- a one-way gateway in dog zone (similar to the one in Lugard) going FAR north (like near tkd or stronghold or so)
- a mini-quest in Shienar doable once per reboot for fireworks
- a to'raken to fd/ls (from SS contributions :))
- more ctfs a 1-2 ss mob support - maybe a little more west (between dhounds and granlin)
- named horses in FD upon giving mob stable ticket with name
- lowered basic sets cost (200 gc or 250 gc) in FD
- spider chest with random gc
- a no-rent abs unique (similar to heron gsword maybe?) at the end of a medium-level quest, is not no-take, so DS can get it [this one affects pk, but both sides can use, and no rent so would be fun for everyone]

and just to acknowledge, the many many wonderful things imms have already given us which we use all the time and make it less tedious to play -
- a quick re-eq smob closer to FD than fbl
- a ctf winding
- smaller mob support blands (shivs sets, tree sets - perfect!)
- a little bit of xp to re-level after pk (preds dog zone)
- thief prac near FD
- kno'mon moved out of the over-committed deadend and on main path (!wolves got sacrificed tho)
- ragan moved into play area
- no channel on either side (winding and blands - so good!)
- gatekeep being no chan and no hide
- more horseeq in FD shops
- scouts (!)
- mire patrol (wasn't there before iirc - and rottendoor used to be a thing - that one i do miss)
- ways fixed to be usable in pk
- EF/FD coach
- lockshear downed so that it's in play

many more I'm sure..just listing for fd/shienar off the top of my head, stuff that is used a lot (500 gc abs not really :P)..so many good things that have made playing much less tedious and not thrown balance off.
