I know it's a bit after the fact, but I haven't been back in the USA for long. The news came to me via Itesh and a few others who got ahold of me remotely, and I wanted to visit here long enough to share my condolences to Donna's family. She was a lovely person, and tons of fun to RP with, and we had several non-game conversations over the years. She was the real deal. I will miss her.
I can't possibly begin to share logs of interaction because there are just too many, but... she had an infectious sense of humor, and had a way of spinning your mental world off its axis just enough to make you laugh at yourself.

That was who I was apprenticed to and I am sorry for your loss she was a great person. I went and met her one time right before a texas rangers game and ate Arby's and talked about the game she sure will br missed.

Everything everyone has written is echoed by my experience with Donna. She was a kind and gentle spirit that had a way about her that could bring disparate groups together to work in harmony. Her RP and sense of humor were great and she could get anyone to at least crack a smile - if not bust out laughing.
We became fast friends maybe 1.5 years ago when we met in the CoL and we were both starting again after a long break, she was just logging on for the first time in a long while, and I had been back around a few weeks. We talked about days gone by and as she revealed some of her alts we realized we knew each other through a few different alts from years back.
I was apprenticed to her on my Accepted, but life got busy again and I haven't been able to play seriously for the last 6 months or so. I'm full of regret for not being around and fulfilling my end of our apprenticeship. I'll never forget when she logged on Aishling to discuss apprenticing and started farting all over the place, being that her RP on Aishling was that she was super gassy and wasn't shy at all about it. I think I have about 5 chars she statted for me in that timeframe. I'm a bit of the influence on her playing more DS as I was over there a lot at the time and constantly bugged her to join me for raiding missions. She was always ready to jump in and help in whatever way she could. She was the epitome of a good wotmud player, and from all of the comments in this thread, a good friend to many in the community as well.
I just found out about all of this a few hours ago, and I'm just still in shock and so sad we've lost such a great person from this community.

Just happened to be taking a breather out of the seclusion of the Library's Stacks to see this news - I am not really sure that I have met her in any of her guises in this World - but I am still saddened to hear of her passing

I am one of the few in this thread that does believe that I ever knew this player, however I honestly believe that this fact doesn't matter. It is evident from all of the remembrances here, and occurring in-game, that Donna was not only a great player in the game, but one that was also a great person in life as well. She has left a legacy in a make-believe world made out of nothing but text in a day and time where everything is faster than ever before, where images, videos, twitter, and other social media commands your attention in 10 second bytes, and where everyone can hide behind a false personna.
As I listen to all of the others gathered in a ceremony talking about her influences on them, her meaning to others, and her own realizations about her life, I find myself realizing that while I may not have known her, I sincerely wish that I would have.
In the end I can think of nothing better to remember a person by than the things you you hear others say about them, and the things you wish you could have experienced with them.
My condolences to her family, in real-life and in the game.

We weren’t close but we were always friendly. My condolences to all her friends here and any family who may be alerted to this thread.

This is a little late.... But i was IRL best friends with her for decades. Youre all sweet, but you didn't know her. I showed her the mud! Anyway, i Can't type much on my current medium.._ but she deserves more. If anyone could hit me up, we need verbal communication. Looking at you austin.

Donna sent my kids Christmas presents last year when I was poor and I miss her a lot. Many of us miss her a great deal. I am heartbroken.
