War system questions
Re: War system questions
You don't need a character that can easily solo a general to win a war. Ffs sit one room away in the nomob and spike whatever walks in. You're being pretty dramatic here. You have clanned weaves and can attack anyone that is an enormous bonus.

Re: War system questions
We are basically talking about 3-4 Tower channies and 2-3 Seanchan channies. Are you telling me the entire mud's balance will be destroyed because of the inclusion of these few players? Especially since CoL and Winged bring 6-10 players every night. Yea, that's fair.Taul wrote:Playing with channelers is like playing crazy 8's with your friends and one friend shows up with a hand full of Jokers.
Re: War system questions
Yes. Not the entire mud balance but yes. Any time you have more than 1-2 channelers involved it is basically game over outside a few circumstances.Octavio wrote:

Re: War system questions
Plus channelers can already assist through giving their group mates support weaves and simply being a body in a hit while others do the damage. Just because you cannot weave at the generals, doesn't mean you are useless.
Re: War system questions
It’s more than 3-4 Accepted and AS that are currently active. It’s more than 2-3 sul/Damane and appies that are active. Those are big numbers for channies in pk. Also, the general rooms are just a few no channel rooms. All those channies can be involved to their hearts’ content in all other aspects of the wars.Octavio wrote:We are basically talking about 3-4 Tower channies and 2-3 Seanchan channies. I agree that there are some imbalances in this first iteration of the wars. That’s bound to happen. Staff and players are obviously aware and thinking of tweaks. That doesn’t mean it should be made that the side with the most channies wins. That’s what your suggestion would do, Octavio.

While the waves may seem calm and gentle, they will drag you down nonetheless.Octavio wrote:We are basically talking about 3-4 Tower channies and 2-3 Seanchan channies. Re: War system questions
Elysia, all due respect but when there is only 1 Seanchan on and 1, maybe 2 channelers and they cannot kill the General and have zero chance of attacking a group for scalps without getting slaughtered, there is an issue. Especially when you exclude what is supposed to be the main weapon of the Seanchan side.
You made the argument that the Tower could not do this and were excluded because of their RP. Well, it's 100% the RP of Seanchan channelers to BE past of the war. It seems like the argument is being used both ways.
I see what you are saying about support weaves...but the numbers just don't support that for the Seanchan side. If there is no equalizer then please tell me how the Seanchan are ever suppose to win any war and not just be a farm for CoL and other clans? And please don't use the argument that more Seanchan players have to log on...this side has been destroyed over the last several years and moving us to the LS did us no favors.

Re: War system questions
I'm going to leave this one for someone with better arguing skills and patience than I.
However, I will say, be the change you want to see in the world, not demand that the world change for you. If you are not ready to make sacrifices, don't expect others to sacrifice themselves for you.
And if you want SS to win wars, pull a Hasp CoL Activity Campaign for SS. Worked for Hasp.

Agree with Taul. Life isn't fair either. Want more clan buddies, cultivate a clan that's attractive and recruit. Can't do that? Form alliances. Think outside the box, it's a war and there can be a solution to everything.
Re: War system questions
It also helps to consider activity levels BEFORE declaring war on someone.
