Today marks the 10 year anniversary of Robert Jordan's death; may he rest in peace!

R.I.P RJ

Thankyou for the years of excitement and joy you brought into my life through sucking me into becoming a reader and to the joy you brought into the lives of others via proxy through wotmud.

You wont be forgotten.

I cannot believe it has been 10 years. I am still re-reading the the series, even this long after first picking it up.

I started my umpteenth re-read of the Series! I think I only ever make it through Book 3. Lets see if I can get all the way through this time.

RIP Robert Jordan.

His books literally changed the course of my life. I was bored one day at work and my manager loaned me her copy of The Eye of the World. I started reading and could not put it down. I started googling Wheel of Time and stumbled upon WotMUD. Met some wonderful people, one thing led to another and now I've been married for 11 years and have two kids.

Thanks for everything, Mr. Jordan. <3

PS. I've never finished the series. I think I read up to the first book that Sanderson wrote? I'm currently listening to book six, but I usually listen at bedtime as I'm falling asleep. Sometimes the books keep me up, other times they put me to sleep. Let's just say that Rand has been introducing Taim to the farm for over a week....

I love that Alima!

RIP RJ.

For me, as with many no doubt, the early books grabbed me. In no time, I loved the world he created, reproduced here.
Took me a long time to finish the books, some of it waiting for the next one to come out!
Took me no time to come to love this place and actually, truth be told, for me it is greater than the creation of RJ alone, greater than the sum of its parts, being all of us who have spent their time within.
So thanks RJ and thank you all of you too who have populated this world, though i do not know you beyond the text of the game.

And thanks! #sonotthankyou! for assisting in my failure of so many engineering subjects when I first became addicted! But the. I wouldn't be where I am today or with my own wife and four children without learning from that experience ;) so thank you for that too!
