The Newbie Experience
Re: The Newbie Experience
If you think that only newbies are going to take avantage of 19 19 abs warrior stats without statting, you're wrong. Pretty soon everyone and their dog will be an abs warrior

I'm not even sure if this is possible to implement/enforce, so it was just an idea to think about.Raeza wrote: Implement a rule that this is only allowed for new players who do not currently have any characters, enforced with MAJOR CONSEQUENCES for anyone caught breaking the rule.
Re: The Newbie Experience
Honestly, a 19 19 ABS warrior can be stated inside 20 stats usually, its pretty easy. That being said, someone mentioned 18 19 warrior as a compromise, which, may discourage people from trying to abuse itRaeza wrote:Perhaps you missed in my original post:

Re: The Newbie Experience
Honestly, the pracs suck on a 19 12 12 12/14 19 warrior. It's well worth the short amount of extra time to go for higher mentals and 16+ dex for the experienced player. There's a big difference between giving out free, solid abs warrior stats and dodge/combo rogues/hunters.
Re: The Newbie Experience
Yeah I'm assuming you can't restrict it. If you can then it's fine. But I really don't care that much. I just think that if we make top stats like that available without the work that other chars need, then we'll just be flooded with them and abs warriors suck to fight lol.
But I also think statting is a stupid method of character creation and should be done away with.

I wouldn't mind in the slightest seeing more warriors around, even if they are 19 19.
Re: The Newbie Experience
Sblades > ABS warriors. 19 19 warriors aren't gonna hurt anyone. Especially master sblades vs abs, there is just a lot of pain and suffering of you're abs.
+1 to giving newbs 19 19 warriors. We need more abs warriors anyway.

Re: The Newbie Experience
There are some flaws to warriors. Essentially, they function at their best (and at their worst) when they are berserk which tends to mean they are focused on creating opportunities that are maximally favorable for going berserk. This can create junk pk as people are unwilling to provide any give and take. A slightly similar comparison - consider a channeler who is only interested in luring you to a zone where they have lightning waiting. Its like fighting someone who is always baiting. Additionally, in general warriors cannot track. There's already issues in this game with chasing and I don't mean - running someone down. I just mean in the finding your opponent sense. You beat me Blight, I go stedding, you chase to Winding - great for my regen, but not for keeping the fight going. I beat you dusty, you go camp, but I thought you went winding. You narrate that I'm a p*ssy that wouldn't chase, but really I just couldn't find you.
My thoughts for warriors was 18 19 and my thought for hunters was 18 17 17. I personally was under the impression that super statted warriors weren't that hard to create. Having one with higher dexterity opens a lot of practice builds and saves an interesting amount of practices (the current pre-rolled warrior is on the 11% practice tree so there's ~15+ practices to be saved by getting onto the 15-17% trees depending on how high you practice attack).

I really don't see the issue with giving 19 19 warriors to non newbies either. People will still play hunters rogues and channies
