600 year rerolls

I think the game hates me . . . .

I am still rolling with my original stats (Your base abilities are: Str:19 Int:8 Wil:7 Dex:15 Con:19. 265 moves)
because, well this what I've been getting since reroll's we're imp'd :(

Looks like there was an issue when you copied your original stats, but I assume you have 19 con and 245 stock moves (showing 265 with trinks)? I'm guessing the issue for all of you, Puny, and Ghraak were that you never took a less than perfect reroll to up your statsum to make your next reroll better, and your mentals were eating up a large amount of your statsum increases.
#17 - Str[18] Int[ 9] Wil[ 9] Dex[16] Con[19] Hps[399] Move[242]
That's a +3 statsum that's also very playable and would set up for even better rolls next time. I've only seen a handful of +4 statsums across my characters, but they were very poorly statted to start.

I have 265 base moves, 285 with full trinks. I have never taken any offered rerolls as they have always been worse. I guess whatever stock I was forced to choose is a factor in the current rolls, but I have no clue to which one I picked.

Old-school trollocs have since the implementation of the rerolls always been at a disadvantage. I dont remember exactly, but somewhere years back the will/int rolls on trollocs were upped. New-school statted trollocs have alot higher mentals then the old ones.

This hampers old school trollocs because Elokar is in a very cerebral manner totally right in his advice: you can accept the highest stat sum, then shelve your beloved character for howlong it takes for a new reroll to occur (or dig out whatever amount of heron the daily craze dictates a reroll chit costs from your storages..) and hope you get anything playable on the new reroll.

Or you keep playing your char and accept that rerolls are not for you to have...

This is only added by the stock which people had to choose when these were implemented: alot of people selected stocks whithout knowing what this would mean for their characters (some stocks were even downgraded.. damn me ever letting that 21 xx xx xx 18 bearish trolloc hunter delete..)

You wouldn't need to shelve a character from 19 8 7 15 19 to 18 9 9 16 19. Yes, there are plenty of chars on DS and SS who got screwed by homelands being dropped on us, but rerolls aren't intended to instantly give people max stats either. It's just something you have to keep in mind when rerolling, and yes, I've taken odd rerolls for statsum bumps and still actively played the character between rerolls.

I semi-suspect the mentals increase is one of the bizarre side effects of "taking away the female status malus". The problem for trollocs was that the homelands were dumped on them - you logged in, you had to pick. I'm personally grateful that I was able to make small improvements with each roll on my trolls, but it took one reaching 500 and another reaching 600 to get anything exciting.
