Shadar Logoth for Trolls!
Shadar Logoth for Trolls!
After much reading, I have not found the chit turn in and have dt'd. I recommend that trollocs do not enter SL.
Re: Shadar Logoth for Trolls!
So after spending ages in Shadar Logoth with no luck I saw that the announcement mentioned room descriptions. Turned brief mode off and found a new room.
The Room of Statues
Rubble lies clumped on the outskirts of the room where the foundation has
caved. The room remains safe, the majority of the ceiling held by large
pillars that circle a grouping of statues. In the center of the room the
statue of a tall man stands, though his face is wrecked, a crown still
hangs lofty on his head and his hands are outstretched. Behind the statue
of the king the likeness of a human shifts in the mist.
[ obvious exits: ]
* HP:Healthy MV:Fresh > l statue
The misty form of a human stands offset from the king and shifts as if
waiting for some sign.
* HP:Healthy MV:Fresh > l form
You do not see that here.
* HP:Healthy MV:Fresh > l king
The likeness to the king has faded and no marks signify him, though his
chain seems to be missing a few tokens. His hands seem open with
instructions.
* HP:Healthy MV:Fresh > l chain
You do not see that here.
* HP:Healthy MV:Fresh > l instructions
Ok.
* HP:Healthy MV:Fresh >
A mist surrounds you as the statue seems to reach out and speak.
* HP:Healthy MV:Fresh >
An empty voice echoes, 'I, Balwen Mayel, King of Aridhol forsook all hope and let Mashadar rise.'
* HP:Healthy MV:Fresh >
'But, hope remains where there is none and we offer ourselves to all who would seek our service.'
Small tendrils of white mist are encroaching...
* HP:Healthy MV:Fresh >
'PUT the CHITs onto my CHAIN and for a night we shall descend upon the land and offer our hope.'
* HP:Healthy MV:Fresh >
'Even when all hope is gone, hope still remains.'
* HP:Healthy MV:Fresh >
The statue of the king seems to pull back and the empty sockets of his necklace seem to sparkle in anticipation.
I don't actually have a chit, I just like exploring.
It's not supposed to be secret right? I can just post how to get here on the forums?

Re: Shadar Logoth for Trolls!
I mean, people have been dting trying to find the place, so may as well. It's in the SE part of SL.
A Disgusting Room
This room has been occupied recently. The walls are covered with excrement
and the stink is unbelievable. You can't wait to get out of here. An empty
doorway leads south, and a standing door leads west. A carved oakdoor
stands at the back of the room. Dim light seeps in from the cracks.
[ obvious exits: S W ]
Saw the oakdoor in the description, tried to open it and it said OK. Then there was a pause for a few seconds before it told me "I needed a key to unlock it". In the SE part there's the dome where an apparition with a key loads.
Peak of a Large Dome
You climb a small stairway and find yourself perched on a flat area of this
large dome. You can see the entire city from here. It must once have been
the grandest city in the realm. Now, it lies fallen and ruined. You can
see a tower off to the northwest, as well as the main gate. A series
of small buildings lie to the west. To the north you can see a grayish
looking park, and a few large buildings as well. The wind blows heavily up
here, and you should watch your step lest you go sliding off.
[ obvious exits: D ]
Not shown because I'd killed it. Easily soloable, need to be honed. Kill it and grab the key, unlock and open the oakdoor.

Ok.

You don't seem to have a chit.
There's nothing in your hands that fits between the links of the chain.
Key vanished after I used it, oakdoor doesn't seem to lock again though. Just watch out for the dt's on the way there, look in a direction before you go in that direction if you aren't certain. They imms haven't been too subtle with the DT hints.
* HP:Healthy MV:Full > A Fallen Stairwell
You are at the top of a fallen staircase. There is no sign of any stairs left
however, and only a huge hole in the floor marks where they were once set. You
eye that hole for a moment, trying hard to peer into the depths. You can see
the first story below you, but it looks like the stairway has collapsed more
than one story. There is another hole in the floor beneath this one. You shiver
at the thought of the drop and carefully watch your step. This would NOT be a
good place for a fight. An empty doorway leads south, and to east is a small
burnt-out room.
[ obvious exits: E S D ]
* HP:Healthy MV:Full > look down
There is NO FLOOR. That would probably make it an extraordinarily bad place to
try and STAND.
