Idea for TPs

Heyas,

Just wondering if it would be possible to make TPs worth something? I know some people care about reaver/TA, but for those of us that don't, would there be a way to imp a mob that would trade them for EQ or something? maybe even QP at a crazy trade...like 500 for 1 or something? I would seriously give all mine away if it didn't involve dying!

Just an idea, discuss.

Would be cool for them to actually have a function, maybe personal retool? like 50 tps per item you retool, kind of like rank 8 retool. Game is already flooded with eq, so don't really think that would be a good idea, unless you do like basic sets for xxx amount - which I doubt anyone would use tbh.

TPs theoretically create a ladder system. IMO there should be no way to destroy or use them, that would ruin their purpose. Now creating multiple competitive "seasons" throughout the year where TPs reset and maybe there are prizes at the end… but coding.

If we did that then Lykan and Eviscerator would have all 14 ta and reaver spots because they loves tpssss so much.

Every time I log on if Lykan is on any LS alts it's "hey, how'd you get all those tpssssssss? You kill someone linkless again for good TPS?"

"how you get the tps" is prolly my favorite wotmud quote. It still makes me chuckle when someone says it, even if most don't know where it started :p

Should make it so that decay is tied to kills rather than logins.

Make lists reflect tps gained over a time period rather than slowly accumulated over time due to ultra-conservative playstyles.

Then let people trade "spots" for things. Ie, you can't trade in 500 tps for 1 qp, but if you are ta/reaver 7 you can wipe all your tps for 1 qp. Obviously, ss is excluded.

Or just remove tps. Not that any of this matters...coding. Unless you can somehow convince the one active 104 to waste more of her time to log in, wipe someones tps, and give them something for it :p Hardly an efficient use of her time.

Well, there are some in-game functions that costs TPs already. Don't know if they were put in through mobol or code though, but perhaps they could be expanded without too much of a hassle.

Considering there's a tps gain abuse bug, I don't foresee us putting some currency in that can be abused, having to police things and so on. At least now the abuse is just to boost a frail ego and not for any tangible gain. Let's keep it that way. :P
