Bubba sat at the foot of his bed.He rummaged through his footlocker till he spotted what he was looking for. After looking over the paper he made a mark and placed it back in the footlocker. Bubba stood and walked to the window overlooking the village. Taking in the scene he could not help but long to be away from here, but Bubba had a task. Bubba muttered to the window, "Come to far to turn back now".

Ashlee bolted the door and make sure the windows were tightly shut. She wouldn't be taking any chances tonight.

Though he had scrounged enough coin to stay at the inn, he didn't feel like being there when the rest of it decided to burn down. He made his way outside the city, but was careful to cover his tracks and find a different place than he was before. "No fires tonight, people seem a little jumpy even at the mention of a fire."

The night seems to drag on longer than usual.

Many were expecting the sun to rise some hours ago....

Finally people sigh with relief as the sun begins to rise. The smoke has cleared and everyone is ready to start the day anew.

The relief is short lived before the screaming starts.

A scene of blood and gore fills an alleyway. Another body ripped limb from limb. The only thing left to identify the victim is his once bright White Cloak, now stained red.

Callesa frowns as she sniffs the smell of a dead body. Not that Whitecloaks were popular, no, but still. This wasn't a nice death. And any men wielding a sword was a huge loss these days.

"Is the Mayor doing anything at all, or is he waiting till we get all torn in pieces?"

'So much for a night of peace and quiet,' Aira muttered upon hearing the news.

She didn't even know there had been a Whitecloak. Although she supposed the death of one of those either meant they ran into a channeler who outmatched them, or... Breakfast. She didn't dare finish her thought and turned her attention to other things.

Pial smirked and thought to himself that he didn't like Bubba anyways, seemed like a simpleton.
