Petition for Old Scalp rewards!

Petitioning for old scalp rewards to be permanent! That stuff nice and playerbase small nuff it should be a thing!!!

After this summer's experiments, there's an insane amount of proposals I have to write to see if we can get them permanently implemented in some form. This one is one of the ones I intend to propose - in fact, another imm had raised the issue yesterday too. It will take some time before I have jumped through all the bureaucratic hoops though.

Agreed, there's so many people on new clanned chars or people going for rank 8 that with the relatively small amount of pk that happens there's too many people wanting too few scalps. It's also bad on DS with a bunch of dreadlords and fades taking scalps as well as masters taking scalps for remort, as well as people going for rank 8 as well as all the people going for just normal ranks! The rewards are just too small for how little pk there is compared to what once was!

100% agree, this is something i have intended to post about for awhile. Tons of masters were able to master on old rewards when there was alot more pk to be had. Makes no sense to take more scalps to get those same rewards with a fraction of the playerbase. Bring em back!

So was there any executive decision on this or is it still going through the hoops?

It never reached a conclusion. I'm not going to take it through the hoops though, as I'm about to go on a break and get some well earned rest. Maybe another imm is willing to do so.

In the spirit of scalps - I do think the tactician has been a huge boon for people's sanity.

Wasn't aware of this thread, sorry. My initial reaction is that we are at old scalp rewards. ;) I think what you mean is you want to go back to higher scalp rewards? ie, 3/5/7 instead of 1/3/5? One of the reasons that we cut those back to the original 1/3/5 is that we were seeing people rank up in clans way too quickly in comparison to the number of players. We talk a lot about how "everyone is a master" and that it's not necessarily a great thing for game growth and development when we're trying to attract new blood as well.

I would be interested in players setting aside the idea of personal character gain and approach it a different way: Game health. From that standpoint, can you bullet point some pros and cons for consideration?
