And abs weapons way back when were slightly less abundant but comparatively stronger to their combo counterparts. I.e claymore vs Seanchan longsword. Now it’s basically claymore vs one handed claymore as you have put.
I don’t think the hit on disarm fencing blade trend lasted long. Once it became the meta it changed quick.
I’m surprised about the complaints of disarming to the ground. It’s definitely dung and should be removed completely but in all the years I’ve been fencing blades I’ve never disarmed anyone to the ground.

Re: Fencing Blades
What, Matheus doesn't know how to practice javelins or short blades? Or that spear that pierces?
Typical Lancer.
tasty legs though

Re: Fencing Blades
Still believe they should all be changed to the "stab" damage type, and just remove the attack/backstab option from that damage type!
Re: Fencing Blades
Fix is to just revert them back to how they were 10 years ago before paramerion existed
Re: Fencing Blades
Clearly, the answer now is javelins need to be looked at again and upped, so that there's another decent pierce option, as they are woefully inadequate compared to sblades and I don't think I've seen a single person using them since they were last changed.
Re: Fencing Blades
The barbed javelin needs to be made a lot more abundant, and a LOT cheaper to rent store. As right now they are quite a pain to stack up enough to justify training into javelins for the purpose of chucking them at things.
Though if they all got reworked to be a lot ligher so that having 5 or so on your char won't weigh them down horribly (barbed is like 2 lbs, but the others are much heavier), and the jav crafting made a batch of 5 or a random number between 3 and 10, it would make things a lot easier for those who want to do some throwing of non-projectile weaponry.
