I think its fine. Or at least don't remove the perk as it would be nice to have once one reaches rank 8. I do agree with the qp cost meaning rank 8s taking scalps: not ideal and would prefer an alternative payment system but not too fussed either way.

What is the qp cost? Like how many times do you need to do herald to pay for one, keeping in mind you can now do two a day?

2 QP for mob if it dies out of zone

Make master blacksmith trade an unwearable rank 8 item to for the best non- rare/unique of the same class. i.e. rank 8 chest abs peice would trade for Murgoz abs breastplate?

Add a bonus for turning in a Rank 8 scalp to balance the loss of !TAKE item?
