interesting concept though...maybe just have it cost say 6 tokens to repair something to pristine.
That or increase probability to 75%?
p.s. On a side note, why dirks give back only 3 tokens on dismantle

? I know its better than nothing, yet sounds like a cheap trade.

What about guaranteed success, but to just good condition or the like?
When an imm or mob loads an item, it's essentially pristine or bust.
The previous complaint was that people could not get 2 decrepit rares of the same type. This aims to address that. Either deposit at treasurer, get tps back or roll the dice.
I would believe the purpose of this original feature was to give players and option to restore a weapon while also implementing an eq sink. Judging by the cost and the change I would wager that it was rarely If ever used. Elysia could probably provide the stats on it if it was even used at all. The newer model I would bet is even more likely to see no bites. I would use it if at the cost on percent it ate ingredients like herb mixing excluding the weapon you are trying to restore. Otherwise it’s a gamble not worth the chance. I would suggest the weapon never gets eaten during the process. It could cost 2jcuffs and 4 tokens with a chance of failure.

What if on fail, you got half the treasury value back?
So options would be for a heron:
1) turn in for tps
2) sell to treasurer for 20k
3) Do this trade in to get a pristine (cost of 2 jcuffs)
4) Do this trade in and fail (gain 10k)
Then you're taking a 50% chance to get it repaired, and 50% chance of losing it but still getting 50% of the value you would have gotten had you just sold it.

We'll review the usage in a month and make more changes then, if necessary.
