Part 1: How it began...

Somewhere in Thakan'dar...

'He did what?!' Moridin fumed. Shaidar Haran merely smirked.

Jaeiryoz wasn't sure if the temperature in the room had dropped, now that Moridin and Shaidar Haran were there, or whether he was feeling flustered. Even if you were a Dreadlord tasked with ruling the Stronghold, one did not meet these two with at least some feeling of unease.

'He took his forces and left, my lord,' Jaeiryoz said.

'This is what happens if you give your subjects too much freedom,' Shaidar hissed.

Moridin gave Shaidar Haran a flat stare.

'Perhaps if you lived for hundreds of years, you would realize you need an interest, a passion in order to be motivated to live that long.'

Shaidar smirked again, and hissed 'Yet, now your pet has taken all the knowledge he has gained over the centuries and gone rogue. And he has managed to evade our eyes and ears. Even your locates.'

Moridin waved away his comment. 'We will find him. He found a cache from High Queen Egoridin of some country that is now called Saldaea. Perhaps we should send someone to investigate.'

Shaidar Haran turned and said 'Jaeiryoz.'

The fight was fierce and both sides suffered great losses. Coulin was carried from Maradon severely bleeding and only barely alive.

The fighting raged and fireballs and ice spikes flew from one side to the other. One such fireball veered off course and destroyed part of the palace. Unfortunately, it destroyed that part of the palace in which Jaeiryoz was seeking information on the dreadlord-gone-rogue and the same place in which items from the High Queen Egoridin were still kept. It is believed that the collapse destroyed the storeroom in question and they may be lost for all time.

Or are they...?
