The White Tower Celebrates

A rap at a door in the Accepted's quarters and a woman emerges from her contemplation. In hushed voices they summon her, and depart. Silent footfalls and the rustling of garments accompany the small group, each purposeful step leading down spiraling staircases and tiled floors. Behind closed doors of hallowed chambers, oaths are spoken and choices made. A brown-fringed shawl is draped upon the woman's shoulders, and the Hall rings with the words "Welcome home."
