The view from the top

The officer squinted his blue-green eyes as he scanned the mountainside below him, searching for any sign of approaching enemies as the sun slowly set over the Haddon Mirk forest to the west. His lean face slowly crinkles into a small smile as his eyes settle upon the vibrant blue flag fluttering lazily in the wind, the golden hawk clearly visible flying on the breeze atop the iron gate below him. Slowly turning away, he examines his vantage point. Set on a peak within the Spine, the marbled platform was hacked directly into the stone for purposes now-forgotten. Massive pillars of redstone encircle the area, freestanding and worn smooth by time and weather.

His new post had seen no real activity to speak of - a couple ogier, some travelers and adventurers, and a lone aiel had been seen traveling the area since he had arrived. But the peace would not - could not - last. They would come, he knew. It would start with a lone scout, maybe a pair. But it would end in blood and in death.

As he turns to descend into the fortress, the officer calls out over the edge, "Close the gate! It will be dark soon."

Announcing the release of the southeastern control-the-fort. It has many secrets, as all old structures do, and is quite formidable to the skilled defender. I hope both clans enjoy it and get use out of it.

As always, please report any and all bugs that may appear.
