The Burning of Falme!!!

Post by Tiro » Tue Apr 25, 2017 2:11 am

Our story starts as a small group of adventurous men and women begin to gather in the small town of Emonds Field and begin planning a daring raid on the monstrous people of Seanchan. As they have taken many of those that channel the one power captive we as guardsmen of the White Tower knew it was out duty to enact vengeance on this lowly and treacherous foe. The call was sent forth and the call was answered by four of our own. I Tiro, Jazz, Tomad, and Ven chose to risk our lives to destroy this abominable adversary. As we formed our teams of combat it was decided that Guard Tomad would lead a group till the gates of the enslaved city of Falme. Guardswoman Jazz was unfortunate enough to have her horse injure itself while rushing to join us and as the others went on she and I took the northern route to Toman Head. Corpses of man and beast were strewn along the road as Jazz and I rode up to the gates of the city and we heard the clash of steel and the screams of the dying on the other side. After swiftly picking the lock we entered the city to a wondrous sight. The supposed "Death Watch" were doing just that as they watched their comrades fall like wheat under the scythe! Seanchan and their supporters were slaughtered left and right as twin groups of our comrades swept through the city like fire and brimstone! The path was hard fought as we waded through Seanchan blood to the gates of the palace where the wretch Suroth resided. As we burst into the chamber the suldame were set upon and sadly the leashed damane as well as she went mad and began to attack us. The rest of Suroths guards entered the fray and the Valon Guard did the White Tower proud as Death Watch and Imperial Army fell before us like cattle! As Suroth was ringed with our steel she let out a terrible cry as the rogue Ekko stabbed her in the back! Paj the Commander led us out to split the spoils and to rest our weary arms. But as we were resting the nefarious Ekko planted a cursed dagger in the back of our beloved Commander Paj! The chase was on and in an sad twist to our tale the cur Ekko escaped the sure clutches of death! As we returned to the burnt city to mourn, reinforcements set upon us and in a surprise attack by Seanchan forces we were split. The gates were locked and more troops were arriving by the minute we fought desperately to flee the city. Guardswoman Jazz and Guardsman Tomad bravely fought a trio of Ogier and the Seanchan Linal! The Seanchan dog fled as his lifeblood was seeping from many wounds but Guardswoman Jazz also suffered grievous injury. Her life in peril I stealthily picked the lock to the eastern gate of the city under the noses of a full troop of Ogier and Death Watch and She and I were able to depart the city with utmost haste! As she rested her wearied bones the rest of the Guardsmen helped escort the rest of the brave bunch of souls to exit the city. In the utmost act of valor Guardsman Ven returned into the city to search for any who had been left behind. Now though he was trapped alone in the hostile city and refusing to accept the slavery and torture he was sure to find at the hands of the Seanchan dogs he bravely lept from the battlements and flew through the air, to his death. Though several lives were lost, those remaining few gathered in the Winespring Inn in Emonds Field to remember the fallen and drink to their valor. A great blow was struck in the name of the light! And I pray that many more will be struck until we fight the Shadow at Tarmon Gaidon!!!
