The Humping Fly was a disaster this late in the night and Rodger thought it was the poorest of planning places for a campaign he had ever witnessed. Then again, it was perhaps the most hairbrained campaign he had ever been pulled into...a war with a borderland nation that was over four weeks hard ride over two mountain ranges. Bloody ashes, he had only ever been there once and he would bet Shinobi and Pial had only ever visited by coach.
Then he remembered his visit, remembered in particular the sa'sara. Maybe that was what this was all about. That at least made some sense. If he could see that again maybe this was a good idea...
