The Barracks of Emond's Field

A large man with a red eagle tattooed across his neck awkwardly makes his way to the square and flips over a crate. As he begins to put his weight down on it, his foot breaks through. After several moments of struggling to get the crate off of his foot he kicks it against the well, shattering it. He looks around sheepishly, clears his throat, and begins speaking:

Now that I have your attention ... After much deliberation the Village Council and Women's Circle have finally come to an agreement: Those who visit and wish assist in the fight with the shadow should be rewarded or, at the very least, not taxed. Therefore we will be offering use of our barracks to all for free. There will also continue to be no penalty to those who choose to stay at our Inn. Tai'shar Manetheren! Carai an Caldazar!

After one failed slow-clap from the audience, the man begins picking up the pieces of the crate he destroyed, throws them in the barrel, and begins making his way back to Eagle Manor.
