A historical Announcement to Mayene

Post by Melat » Wed Feb 19, 2020 12:29 pm

The feud between Tear and the city-state of Mayene has waged for generations. The bloody battles whittling away at the manpower of their respective nations, bleeding them dry of good men and women. War is something not easy to end, and peace is even harder to obtain.

Representatives of the High Lords of Tear and the First of Mayene have been meeting together for months to discuss a potential solution to the end of the war. However, we were paused with the rude interruption of Saniago Torres, a crazed male channeler who had the audacity to try and take Callandor by making some strange man who looked like Taim come into our Heart of the Stone and attempt only what madmen would do.

They are now all dead.

However, after many meetings with Mayene over the months, Tear offers the following invitation:

As long as Mayene agrees to come to the ancient duty of defending the Stone, We will acknowledge Mayene's sovereignty and governmental capabilities of the city-state known as Mayene. We will work together towards thwarting any threats that infringe on the Sovereignty of Tear and external control of Mayene's government from foreigners.

The Stone's defense is paramount for the future of our world, and its defense should be prioritized above all else. If the First of Mayene will see the wisdom of this, then we will agree to your assistance and right to govern in your own city. To think the Winged Guard of Mayene will be assisting the Tairen Defenders of the Stone in this ancient duty!

May this be a historical step towards peace and unity in the South against anything that threatens to disrupt our way of life. We have high hopes that Mayene understands the heavy toll it takes to govern and keep the threats away from taking over the South. Come and defend the Stone, and protect your city-state, and we will leave Mayene (and the fish shoals) in your capable hands.

For the Stone,

-Lord Melat Lansin al'Farath, Lieutenant
Rajis Rajinald, Defender of the Stone
Lord Delion al'Traesegar, Lieutenant
