A young page scurries about the city, pasting fliers to various surfaces. One on a column at the Square of Tammaz, another at the Blacksmith's shop, and even more in the local taverns.
The posted fliers read:
ATTENTION ALL FIGHTERS OF THE LIGHT! The Illian Companions are hosting the first ever ILLIAN ROYAL RUMBLE!!! on May 26th at 12 P.M. Server Time!
We need at least 10 entrants. As they say, the more the merrier! The rules of the event are simple.
Anyone may enter, regardless of class or affiliation! We ask for 250 gold crowns as an entry fee.
The two most esteemed entrants, judged by the organizers, will square off against each other. At a specified interval (1-2 ticks depending on number of entries), the next entrant will join the Rumble. This will repeat each interval until all the entrants have had an opportunity to participate in the Rumble.
The Rumble will be confined to a specified area and officials will be posted at the entrances and exits to this area. Any entrant who is killed within the area or forced to exit the area is eliminated from the Rumble.
The last entrant standing will be declared the winner. There will be a prize in the form of a purse of gold. There may also be other items of interest and value offered for a prize. Check back from time to time for a list.
To enter, please send a mail to Lord Atienne d'Machtmittel, First Captain of the Companions and Councilman. In this mail, you must explain your fighting style. You may also arrange to pay the entry fee ahead of time, or you may pay on the day of the Rumble. If you wish to enter and do not have the entry fee, please also note this in your mail. We may be able to help you gather the funds or find a sponsor for your participation. Finally, we will explain further anything that you need to know.
While we have plenty of gold and other items for prizes, if anyone wishes to donate some prizes, please also contact Lord Atienne. He may be able to see to it that your business does more favorably in Illian as a result of your generosity, after all!
And finally, Lord Atienne will be taking bets on the outcome of the Rumble. Please seek him out on the day of the event if you wish to make a bet!

-Anyone may enter including channelers (Shadowspawn need not apply)
-NO BONDED PAIRS: BONDED PAIRS ARE EXPECTED TO SEVER BOND BEFORE RUMBLE BEGINS. IF YOU DON'T THEN YOU WILL BE SORRY
-NO PLAYER LED MOBS OR MASTER MOBS OR R8 MOBS ALLOWED
-Players must bring their own gear
-Organizers will not be responsible for lost or stolen gear. DO NOT BRING GEAR YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO USE OR LOSE. (we are working with staff to see if some mid-tier kits and weapons could be loaded, and if resets could be given before and after the rumble should you wish to change set ups)
-Except for the pieced together prize set the winner takes from the fallen, the rest of the gear will be returned to owners
-WE MAKE NO GUARANTEE THAT ALL GEAR WILL BE RETURNED: WE WILL TRY OUR BEST BUT CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR LOST OR STOLEN GEAR
-Two players will be picked from the entrants to start the battle. It will likely start with two bonused characters
-Every one or two ticks (depending on number of entries) another player will enter the fight
-Players will fight in a specific zone. You cannot leave the zone, or you are eliminated. Players are also eliminated when they die.
-Officials will be posted at zone exits to call eliminations due to leaving the zone
-The winner is the last player left standing in the specified zone
-Winner will receive 80% of the entry fees, plus any other prize items (see below)
-We are willing to accept any donations for prize items as well as volunteers for officiating (please mail Atienne in either case)
-If we get at least 10 entries, there will be an additional 5,000 gold crowns as a prize in addition to the prizes listed previously.
-Other potential prizes:
-Basic kit of choice (abs, combo, dodge, parry eq) (winner picks ONE of FOUR choices)
-Choice between a pair of gold rings, a pair of gold chains, a pair of obsidian pendants, or a set of parry trinkets (steel torcs, gold ivy rings, sungwood bracelets, earthen mantle, and a bronze belt) (winner picks ONE of these FOUR choices)
-A jeweled wristcuff
-Some crafting tokens (2-3 tokens)
-Some hard to obtain ingredients for a pair of dirks, a partisan of Ghealdan, or a darkened steel trident (Winner picks ONE of THREE ingredient choices)
-A rare weapon, such as a pair of dirks, a razor thin long sword, or a darkened steel trident (Winner picks ONE of THREE choices)
-Should Staff not load gear for players to use during the Rumble, the winner may piece together ONE FULL SET from the gear of the fallen (2 rings, 2 necklaces, 2 wrists, 1 belt, 1 head, 1 arms, 1 body, 1 about body, 1 hands, 1 legs, 1 feet, 1 1H weapon and shield OR 1 2H weapon)
-A sum of gold equal to 7,000 gold crowns should 10 players enter the Rumble. If more than ten players the sum will increase 200 gold crowns per additional player entrant.
-Should we be unable to get 10 entrants we will reschedule the Rumble for a later date
