These forums should hopefully provide a manner of communication and information sharing that is a bit less fleeting and easier to use as reference than Facebook.
As it stands now, Flash wants a place where we can communicate vital information to players in order to enhance everyone's experience, but not a venue for a bitch fest. Combined with the amount of time the public forums like Balance, Art of War and Players' Lounge etc. used to take away from imms, we're going with a barebones setup that is aimed at communicating info pertaining to the game as opposed to providing a place for player discussion and sharing logs.
We still want you to do things ingame as opposed to playing off forums, which is why there are no clanforums or why this forum will not replace using the ingame mail system. However, you should be able to mail immortals, for example when you have a log of harassment and other things that are simply impractical or impossible to send using ingame mail.
Since there is no communication between the game and these forums, technically speaking anyone can register any character name. Suffice to say that if you are caught registering a character that you do not own, there will be serious repercussions. Please work with us here!
