A broker who will sell you potions and fireworks.

Announcing the broker, the middle man who will broker deals between Wisdoms and Illuminator in order to supply you with vials, syrups, red vials and fireworks!

Essentially, this means you will not have to find a Wisdom on to acquire potions. Illuminators can now finally trade their items. In exchange, the existing fireworks loads have been removed from the game - if you want fireworks, you will have to use the broker.

Wisdoms and Illuminators can drop off their wares at the broker and have him sell them.

As a customer, you can buy these items using shimmering chains of gold, obsidian pendants, gold rings, red robes and earthen brown mantles. Since both clans will be paid out in questpoints, there are no plans to allow gold to buy these items. If you want to buy these items for gold, you'll have to find people ingame willing to sell.

You can find the broker, he's an affable man, in four different locations scattered across the map.

Say "help" and he will give you instructions on which item will sell for what. Give him the trinket in question and ask for the item you want. If no Wisdom or Illuminator has dropped off their wares, he will return the trinket to you. If he does have the item in stock, you will receive your purchase.

5 thin vials of yellow fluid: a shimmering chain of gold OR a shimmering pendant of obisidian
4 cups of thick syrup: a red robe OR an earthern brown mantle
4 vials filled with a dark red liquid: a red robe OR an earthern brown mantle
1 bunch of fireworks: a gold ring

Have fun!

Broker 2.0: player to player selling to replace the Auctionhouse.

All,

Or rather, all who play LS or SS,

A Market Hall has opened in Lugard, where brokers dealing in various goods will take a pristine item and sell it to another player for you. This also means that any item you buy will be pristine! Once your item has been sold, you may ask for a payout in cold hard cash. Please note that if you are selling, the house will keep 10% of the sale price. E.g. while a buyer will pay 125 gcs for a breastplate, you will only receive 112 gcs. These prices may change depending on player feedback - for now I've aimed at a full set costing less than at the weary merchant.

There are currently 6 brokers (with plans to extend this to shields, trinkets and weapons):
  • A headwear broker.
  • An armwear broker.
  • A bodywear broker.
  • A handwear broker.
  • A legwear broker.
  • A footwear broker.
These brokers deal in various abs, combo and dodge items, including standard abs, gold abs, Murgoz abs, tooled and dyed items and the finely shirt/tunics types, regular combo and regular dodge, although I didn't include all the female items - use the seamstresses to exchange those to the male varieties before trading. Note that not every item costs the same amount, e.g. a breastplate or tunic will cost more than sleeves/leggings or helmet/gauntlets/boots.

I have not stocked these mobs with supplies, that is up to players to do.

Note that you cannot withdraw items from sale. Once given up for sale, it will stay there until it is bought.

Say help to get started.

This was a lot of mobol to write and while I tested everything, I'm sure something will go wrong. If so, please report on Bugs forum.

A poster feature has been added at the entrance, which lists all the items that are in stock. Please note that the poster updates are not live, so if someone buys the solitary visored helmet right now, it may still list it as for sale for a bit. This will self-correct after some time and will no longer be a problem if multiple of the same item remain in stock.

Also note that all objects have been changed to a two word format and those are not typoes.

A jewelry broker has been added to the Market Place.

A cloaks and shields broker will be added later this week, along with a poster listing the stock of both of these.

An accessory broker selling shields, belts and cloaks has been added to the Market Hall. A poster listing what he and the jewelry broker sell has been put up at the jewelry broker's area.

Several weapons brokers have been added to the top floor, allowing you to buy and sell the following:
  • Axes
  • Clubs
  • Fencing blades
  • Javelins
  • Long blades
  • Medium blades
  • Polearms
  • Short blades
  • Spears
  • Staves
A poster has been placed between the stairs to let you see what is for sale, once people have dropped off stock.

Some time soon, a projectiles and flails broker will be added as well.

Note that the aides can't tell if a weapon has been honed or hardened, so the price will be the same, regardless of non-h/h or otherwise.

So far, there have been 43 trades on the equipment brokers, making a number of players a few hundred crowns.

Finally, a broker who will deal in projectiles has been implemented, as well as a little easter egg.

A token broker has arrived at the Market Hall.

For all those clanned or unclanned who wish to buy or sell tokens, there is now a token broker at the Market Hall in Lugard. Note that since tokens do not decay, this broker has no aide. He will handle all business himself.

Raw materials broker added to Lugard Market Hall

This broker will take two bars of iron, or two wooden poles or two knots of leather straps and sell them for you.

Each set will cost 125 gcs.

Use 'help buying' and 'help selling' to get him to talk.

You say 'help selling'
A materials broker says 'If you are selling, please give the pair of items to me and SAY OFFER SALE KEYWORD.'
A materials broker says 'E.g. SAY OFFER SALE BAR or SAY OFFER SALE KNOT.'
A materials broker says 'If you are indeed selling two items, we will try to sell them for you.'
A materials broker says 'If not, the item will be returned to you.'

You say 'help buying'
A materials broker says 'I will trade for the following, at a price of 125 gold crowns.'
A materials broker says 'Give me the money, then say what you wish to buy.'
A materials broker says 'Please be aware that you have to be VERY specific with your wording, else I will not know what you are speaking about.'
A materials broker says 'You can SAY BUY the following pieces:'
A materials broker says 'Two BARs of iron, two wooden POLEs or two KNOTs of leather straps.'
A materials broker says 'I will then check my stock and if a seller has dropped of the item, I will give it to you.'
A materials broker says 'If I have none in stock, I will give you your money back.'

Since people can now make a profit from crafting these, the easy loads that were implemented a few years ago will be removed.
