As of reboot:
1: You should be able to see object stats for weapons, armour and trinks when you "examine" them.
2: when the MUD boots, it'll scour inactives off clan lists, de-council where appropriate and adjust ranks if people don't have the qps to maintain that rank (with a small buffer). Fair warning, there is every chance this might take forever the first time it runs, or just crash the boot phase. But you know what they say - it worked in testing!
