An Island Appears

[Elysia]

The hunters stood blinking at the frozen lake. They were used to cold winters this far north, but they were not used to a frost that was as localized at this. The lake was frozen solid, and shrouded in flurries. Occasionally, a glimpse of a shimmering, tall structure could be seen between the whirling clouds of snow.

'This is cursed business, Dap, I tell you. You and I both know there is no island in this lake, let alone a flaming bloody tower!'

Reluctantly, the men turned back. The further they got away from the frosty scene, the warmer and merrier their hearts were.

Introducing part 1 of a multi-stage seasonal smob thingamabob. This part loads one of the new seasonal weapons on percentage. Other parts to follow, so stay tuned!

'Frozen solid,' the hunter said to the hermit.

'The alligator was frozen solid?!' the raggedly dressed man exclaimed, his voice croaking from lack of use.

'I've never seen anything like it. It's just sitting there, a snow-shrouded tower in a circular lake in the middle of the swamp. You know that area as well as I do. There is no lake there, usually. Let alone a flaming tower.'

The hermit nodded, frowning. He didn't like visitors, that's why he lived so far from the river and its bustling shipping traffic, but this visit had been worthwhile. He would make sure to set his traps to the north-east instead of the south-west.

[Elysia]

'It looked like good hunting, I tell ya,' said the man at a tavern in Irinjavar.

'But I swear by the Light, that creature is possessed. She would stomp on my spear and snap it. We all lost some good weapons that day and came home with nothing.'

The barkeep eyed the man. He knew he was stone-cold sober and not one to brag. Strange things were afoot in the swamp, lately.

Introducing Part 3 of the Icy Tower smobs, bearing the second of the seasonal weapons, a hooked, striped pole. It's a serrated polearm clone with less durability.

[Elysia]

'A tower like that should hold riches beyond your wildest dreams,' the young adventurer said.

'Let get some men together and see what we can loot.'

Days later, their corpses lay slain in the study, the last foe apparently too strong.

Part 4, the final part, is now in. A wicked smob and a reward for killing it, a randomized puzzle and a safe that can load a rare worn item. Bring your thinking caps.

Too many things breaking, like it breaking when people are inside during a repop. Fixes to prevent that not working. I've already spent hours on fixes the past few days and it's way too time consuming, overall.
