Why does the riding lead to attacking? Why can't it just dismount them without all that?

Considering Gaidin rescue is coded, there's little that can be done on that end.

I'm not making the clan mounts, so I'm not able to comment on those.

I am fairly certain, having seen people mount and get kicked off my own horse, that not every horse has this attack feature (or it doesn't go off all the time). It is interesting that Aish' tried to ride Rhys' horse, yet ended up attacking your horse and instead of you attacking her, you attacked her horse. One giant clusterfuck that.

Just a bad loop. It wouldn't work that way if they were not bonded. That being said I think you could argue that it would be within RP if the bonded partner could also ride their partners horse. I would assume that the emotional bond between the two would transfer over to the horse. However I think you would have to watch for abuse in this area, you could not have both parties ride two different horses to take advantage of the bonus. It would just be a short term type of thing.

I just keep picturing Lan and Moiraine trying to kill eachother because Moiraine hopped on Mandarb.

What I don't understand is how she attacks your (the Gaidin's horse) horse.

I fiddled around with this awhile back accidentally - when the clanned horse dismounts and attack you, the commands show up out of order - you are still mounted even though it says you are tossed but the horse is in combat with you - so the horse both attacks you but also keeps you mounted just long enough so that when things assist you they are attacking a horse you are still riding leading you to intercept the attacks and you end up fighting both people assisting you (and presumably rescuing you in the bond) and the horse.

Clan horses as introduced are a big malus for LS and I certainly encourage everyone to not use them.

No reason why they need to attack other LS that ride them, how many times in PK is the difference between life or death having an ally willing to let you ride or picking up a horse from a fallen ally to try and escape...

Don't use them, except for RP!
