OK.... so then did the command change? Why can't I see my credit anymore?

You only see your credit when you have so many items on you that your allowance does not cover your rent.

Rent and log in, or just pay attention next time you log in and you'll see something like this:

You were rented for 25.10 days. Since this was medium-term, you get a 50% discount.
You were charged 23 gold crowns and 14 coppers per day over and above your last allowance of 19 gold crowns and 2 coppers per day.
Your total rent charges add up to 594 gold crowns and 17 coppers.
Your rent credit of 19912 gold crowns and 15 coppers covers it all.

I believe the "offer" command will only show your credit if it'll cost more than your allowance to rent. Maybe grab a scalp or limb and try?
