FIXED: Maradon Dynamic Event

I understand this is not exactly a bug, but it is unreasonable. One of the events that happens is the 'woman alone' one where you escort the woman mob from maradon to fd. This is fine, but what is not fine is that it is only doable by male characters. I understand and appreciate the RP behind that, but the problem is that that even still comes up for females characters. It either needs to be made doable by any sex, where she says something like 'it is improper but i will do it', or so that it just not issued to female characters. Even a way to make the woman leave if you are female and that dynamic event is forfeited would be okay. For example you can say help, aid or assistance to trigger her, but if you are female and you say it she then should say 'the laws forbid it (or whatever the mobol is)' and then she wanders off and the dynamic event is ended.

As it stands, if as a female you encounter that task you have no option but to just leave it there if you cannot find a male who is willing to do it for you. This means that when people come in the future they may get the 'a dynamic event is in progress' message and leave it, and it is also just unfair to female characters. Female malus's are supposed to be in the past.

I don't know this quest, but can it be made to respond to 'Borderguard' (if it is a BG clan quest) or 'soldier' (if it is a clanned quest - assuming that all clanneds are soldiers or officers at some level - with some tweaks for wisdom/other clans).

Please don't make it a 'male' specific thing as if 'all men' are endowed with the capacity to rescue 'all women'. Even in the books that is simply not true.

As a female player of this game, I completely endorse what Verania pointed out except - please don't make it a 'male' thing (that it's 'improper' for a woman to rescue another woman). There were female soldiers and the rescue part comes in because someone has the skills and training and knowledge and courage. Having a penis should not be the baseline qualification to even attempt quests that require those virtues.

Thank you.

I always kinda figured it was done that way to keep sedai with gate from just gating her straight to the end room. Granted, I guess a male could just enlist a sedai to gate them over too...

So I guess I agree there is no harm in changing it. Would actually allow me to do the quest on my wisdom then!

There are other ways to prevent that. The Ogier mob you find as one of the gambler quests will not enter a gate, or maybe enters a gate and disappears, I am not sure which, but either way it is not possible to gate him from one city to another.

I concur in all respects, as another female player of this game.
