* HP:Healthy MV:Full > inv
You are carrying:
a backpack
three copper pennys
a receipt
[2] a wealth of gold crowns (225)

* HP:Healthy MV:Full > put crown pack
You put 225 crowns in a backpack.

* HP:Healthy MV:Full > put crown pack
You put 52 crowns in a backpack.

* HP:Healthy MV:Full > put crown pack
You aren't carrying a crown.

* HP:Healthy MV:Full > l in pack
backpack (used) :
a wealth of gold crowns (277)

As you can see, it appears that I have 2 stacks of 225 gold crowns, but really I had 1 stack of 225 and 1 of just 52.

I think the same sort of thing happens when you have 2 identical weapons and 1 is scratched... kind of a question of which one is 1.gold and which is 2.gold.

Probably coding :)

It's the same way with weapons.

If you have 2 axes. 1 is scratched and 1 is not scratched. Depending on which one is 1.axe you'll see the stat for both. So:

if the 1.axe i scratched but 2.axe isn't, you'll still see:
You are carrying:
[2] a finely crafted axe (scratched)

if only 2.axe is scratched, you'll still see:
You are carrying:
[2] a finely crafted axe

The parentheses only denote the status of the first item.

Been like that forever. Would be interesting if it ever got fixed.

*Eol beat me to the post by literally seconds. But he's right too!

Well, at first I thought I had somehow duped gold which made me quite nervous.

I was quite happy when I ended up putting the gold in my pack and seeing I didn't have any extra. Thanks for clarifying what's going on.
