Inside the Southern Gatekeep
The grumbling walls of the tower barely support the massive weight of the
second floor. Blood covers the walls, some streaks forming crude drawings,
others insults in Trolloc. A stairway leads up to the second floor.

Just a guess, and I could be wrong...I'm thinking it has something to do with when the game last autosaved. I believe that had you typed save at some point after that and before boot, you would have been brought back to the place where you saved. I did, however, think that the game autosaved just before a boot as part of the boot procedure, so I'm not sure what happened there. Maybe an imm can explain, but my best guess would be the autosave thing.

It's most curious and that explains why you were in the Keep. As an aside though,if you had not killed the Dha'vol mob, its deathcry would not of alerted the Trolloc 1e at the ram and you might out idled out or escaped via Stonegate. But I decided to have a look around and found you. Plus having 6-7 DS in zone at the time didn't really go in your favour.

It's something like Loomis said. Boot no longer means autosave, excepting maybe the long boot? I'm not sure. Something may have happened while you were in that room to cause an autosave, like a kill, so that autosave was your last saved moment. Manual save is your best friend if you don't want to come back in a sticky situation.

Script a trigger save for the 1 minute warning...?

I type sc stat and save like 10 times a tick without even noticing. And ctrl s!!

Save only works once per tic...! {Doesn't it? }

But nice to spam it to know when tics occur, even if it doesn't do anything until the tic!
