He gave me no gold. In addition, that's actually even more strange because he used to drop a purse of gold, and then the poster would change to a new smob. Not sure when this might've been adjusted, but something looks to be slightly off!

I'm going to assume because "dropping it" isn't as elegant and/or a mob picked up the money. So it was changed to give to player, but that doesn't work the way the mobol works.

Either way, odds are this is going to be removed entirely, since it's not a "so this is now the target, go kill" thing, but a "so I have this big old pile of scalps, let's cash in while the smob group has long since been disbanded".
