Revisiting Slice Weaves and concern about lag not working

As we have been told, Slice Weaves' effect is supposed to include placing a 2-pulse delay on the target if you successfully slice their weaves.

Verne and Cera previously tested this weave (viewtopic.php?f=16&t=16475) and raised concerns that this weave does not in fact apply any lag. The post was marked as "EXPLAINED" but after testing it further tonight, and revisiting that thread, I am suspicious that something might still be wrong with the lag being applied, or may not applied consistently. Or, the lag is so small that it is insufficient to reliably affect the course of a channeler combat.

I have tried to use color coding to point out a few spots that are particularly suspicious in the sense that I entered my command for the next Slice before the first one began, so I got a perfect start, but Verne was also able to begin weaving on the exact same pulse.

We also tested the possibility that the lag is actually a 2-pulse delay that is an addition to whatever command or timer the target uses next. However, even when Verne perfectly started her next weave immediatley after being Sliced, the timer was identical.

I am not trying to debate the merits of Slice Weaves and whether it's viable as it currently exists. I think it has a niche potential benefit when used sparingly in the average channeler versus channeler combat. Instead, our goal was to try and get definitive proof that the 2-pulse lag is not being applied consistently in a way purported to exist. I would very much love an Immortal to confirm whether this weave is working as intended, and for someone (Immortal or player) to share a log proving that it is working as intended. Thanks!

On a related note, I thought Slice Weaves was changed so that it was 1 pulse faster than Earthquake to avoid PONR issues? In a spar with Verne tonight, I started Slice at the same pulse as her Earthquake timer, but Slice failed to slice anything and her Earthquake landed. Is this as intended?

Bumping this thread because I was looking through my old posts and realized that I did not receive any comments or replies. I am wondering if someone could point out any flaws in my logic for testing the presence vs. absence of lag as Slice Weaves supposedly applies, or help me understand what I might be missing if supposedly the lag is applying correctly. Also curious about the timing of the weave in the final example and explanations for how that was able to happen.

You may want to retest your assumptions about PONR with this weave.

Interesting, so that gives me more information about the timing and how Slice Weaves works compared to Earthquake timing.

But I am still looking for confirmation or explanation on the supposed 2-pulse lag/delay that it is supposed to add to weave timing. I tested again with two sisters today, one using an emote on every pulse to visually demonstrate the time, and the other attempting to re-weave as fast as possible. The following two trials in particular seem to visually confirm that even after slicing successfully, with perfect re-weaving on both of our parts, there is no lag:
